sometimes i feel repetitive when i talk about how cool younglife is. but on a scale of one to cool, younglife ranks as awesome. the fact that it is off the charts is besides the point though.
anyways, my dad is on the board of the washington blues society, and was asked by leavenworth's younglife committee to cover a benefit concert to help get the word out. and shortly after, i got a call from him asking if i wanted to shoot it alongside of him, while he wrote the article. of course i said yes! even though blues isn't my favorite genre of music (ssshhh, it's a secret. don't tell my dad! he'd be heartbroken). although i partly hate to admit it... i really enjoyed this concert. it started with tuck foster & the mossrites, and from the start tuck had me giggling. he was hilarious. he danced and jumped around every chance he got. and the headliner for this was glenn kaiser. according to my dad, glenn single handedly started christian rock. and man, he was great. i highly suggesting checking him out (here's a song). in between each song both of the artists got to talk about their life, and what it has looked like tackling their lives following christs plan. neither stories were easy to hear, but both were a joy to listen to. however, my favorite part of this was being able to leave the crowded concert hall feeling like best friends with the artists.
