Let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time in 2012, in a far away land (Goshen, Virginia) tucked away in a magical forest (Rockbridge) there was a group of high school and college students + college grads who worked the days away swatting at gnats, cleaning, laughing, having dance parties, perfecting their respective jobs, and learning about what makes the world go 'round.
Three of the people that worked that month were related. One of them got married.
That was Jamie. And I got to work with her. We talked about our pasts, our lives, and what we hope for. Jamie became a mom to me. And because I loved her, my catch phrase for our friendship was #wheresmydad.
Guess what? We (she) found him!
Once they started dating, Jamie called me and told me the good news. But boldly told me not to call him "Dad," for obvious reasons... not to scare him away. It was in that conversation that I knew she was smitten, and it wasn't something to take lightly.
Their story is quick, complex, and beautiful.
I'm not going to summarize it. Rather, I want you to ask them. Because it's a powerful testimony of their trust.
But what I will do is give you a little peak into their wedding day...
